Department scholarships
Many academic departments provide scholarships for students studying in a particular discipline.
Departmental scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the academic department after admission to S&T. Any departmental scholarship would be in addition to any merit scholarship package awarded at the time of admission.
If you are a new student for fall 2024, check out some of these major specific scholarships:

- Metallurgical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Petroleum Engineering
Many other academic departments also provide limited scholarship funding. To apply for a departmental scholarship, access the S&T Scholarship Database at scholarships.mst.edu.
Any scholarships awarded specifically by the Student Financial Assistance office could be incorporated into the Groundbreaker scholarship package awarded at the time of admission.
