International Merit-Based Scholarships

International first-time freshmen

International first-time freshmen are eligible for merit-based scholarship awards. No additional application is required, as the scholarship is awarded based off your application to Missouri S&T.

Scholarships are awarded in 3 tiers:

  • $5,000: ACT score of 28, SAT score of 1310, or GPA of 3.8 or higher
  • $3,500: ACT score of 26, SAT score of 1240, or GPA of 3.5 – 3.79
  • $2,000: ACT score of 24, SAT score of 1160, or GPA of 3.2 – 3.49

Students without GPA or test scores will have their academic credentials reviewed holistically to determine scholarship eligibility.

Renewal criteria

All entering freshmen merit-based awards require the student to be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours at Missouri S&T and maintain a 3.00 cumulative GPA for renewal. They are available for up to 8 semesters.

International transfer students

Scholarship programs for undergraduate transfer students are only available for students who have not yet received their first bachelor’s degree, and will vary based on GPA, academic record and other factors.

International students transferring from one of our U.S. transferring partner institutions may be eligible for a merit-based transfer scholarship.
