Scholarships are awarded based on merit, need or a combination of both.

Merit-based scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, particular skills or special characteristics. Need-based aid is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need that is determined by the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
